Oral surgery experience – 24 years
Raj qualified in 1998 and joined our practice in 2024. His post-graduate training has provided extensive exposure in the field of oral surgery. Due to his passion for involvement in patient care and teaching, Raj has successfully built his career excelling both academically and clinically.
Raj is a speaker for Thames valley and LKSS deanery (Health Education England) and conducts Hands on Minor oral surgery courses for Dentists and delivers periodic lectures in oral surgery including current thinking, aimed to boost confidence in oral surgical procedures.
Raj has recently completed a post-graduate certificate program in medical education at Cardiff university and achieved a fellowship in recognition of attainment against the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education by Advanced higher education academy.
Raj is currently dedicating half his time to teaching and his other half working as a specialty doctor in oral & maxillofacial surgery (Royal Berkshire hospital Reading and West Berkshire Community Hospital Newbury) and general practice limited to oral surgery.
Raj has a special interest in Coronectomy of lower wisdom teeth and is happy to take referrals for wisdom teeth removals, surgical and non-surgical extractions.
Outside oral surgery and teaching, Raj has a busy family life and enjoys cooking and travelling.
